About Me

About Me

I’ve always loved to travel — from first trips around New England to high school trips to Greece and Italy to living in Brazil for nine years. There is absolutely nothing like travel to open your mind to questions, to cultures and to experiences that could not be found in your own small or big town. It’s just fun, people.

I was born in New York, NY but have not lived in one place for more than 7 years since that time. In one stretch, I moved 8 times in 3 years. Each move is its own travel episode, but it is the discoveries around each place I’ve lived, and visiting the people I met at college and graduate school, that make it fun. It’s about the place, but mostly about the people.

I have been fortunate to be able to afford travel as an adult, and to have been sponsored by my parents as a kid. I wish we could all be so lucky. Not to create drama, but it would go a long way towards world peace if we could all walk down each other’s roads, and eat in the restaurants and homes of our enemies, and explore the great beauty in each country. I have yet to find an ugly country or an unpleasant people. Explore…discover…just wander lost…
